About Me

Peter G. Bowen is a New Orleans entrepreneur, advisor, and investor. His skill in business stems from his work in hospitality, travel, and business management. He is currently Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of Dirks Companies. Previously, he was Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for the Office of Business & External Services (OBES) for the City of New Orleans where he managed the City’s Land Use Departments and Offices of Economic and Workforce Development.

Working History

Before working for the City of New Orleans, Peter Bowen was the Chief Operating Officer for Calvary Sanitizers. Prior to that, he spent time in an organization development and expansion role for J Hospitality & Development. His time with J Hospitality & Development included restructuring 18 independent properties with a thousand employees and a $20M budget.

From 2017 to 2019, Peter Bowen was a general manager for Sonder Inc. During his time there, he was able to launch the company in New Orleans and achieve profitability in less than a year. Before running Sonder, he was the Senior Vice President for Hotel Asset Value Enhancement (HotelAVE) in New York. From 2015 to 2016, Peter Bowen was a Founding Managing Partner of PostScript Hospitality. His work with PostScript included growing the company to $8 million and tripling the client ROI, netting major clients like Omni Hotels and Four Seasons.

From 2013 to 2014, he worked as a Senior Consultant for Carpedia International in Toronto. From 2012 to 2013, Peter Bowen taught as an adjunct professor for Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology on hospitality and tourism topics.


Peter Bowen spent time earning his Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University, completing his degree in Hotel Administration with a concentration in Beverage Management. An educational experience from the distinguished school gave him a solid start in the right direction.

After getting his Bachelor’s degree, he went on to earn his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada. His work at Guelph included a focus on Hospitality and Tourism.

He was also certified as a sommelier. His education serves as a foundation that supports his desire to thrive in the business and travel sector. He continues to look at trends and new technology to pinpoint more efficient or effective policies to help his clients grow.
